Welcome at the workgroup Geoinformatics / EMG

This website informs you about the Environmental Modelling Group (EMG).
We present current research projects and give information about the academic education of our students in geoinformatics.

For the usage and infrastructure of the GEOpool click here.

For information on individual courses click on the category "Courses" in the menu.

Our currect research focus on:

  • Numerical modelling of urban microclimate with a special focus of urban vegetation modelling
  • Advanced analysis and methods to assess the impact of global climate change and urban redesign on thermal stress and associated risks.
  • Simulation of human thermal stress when using urban envirionments
  • Advanced methods for statistical analysis (e.g. yearly analysis) also based on maschine learning methods
